LALMONIRHAT, Feb 28: The 5th founding anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University (BSMRAAU) was celebrated here on Wednesday morning amid much enthusiasm.
Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan, BBP, BUP, nswc, fawc, psc inaugurated the programme as the chief guest.
He urged all to work hard for turning the university into an aviation research hub.
Vice Chancellor of the university Air Vice Marshal A K M Manirul Bahar, BSP, ndc, hdmc, afwc, psc, ADWC said that as desired by Honourable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the university is committed to provideing quality education of international standard for transforming people into aviation, space and technological professionals and enthusiasts. He thanked the chief guest for his relentless support in development of the university.
The university started its journey in 2019 in a small scale at the old airport premises of Dhaka. Subsequently BSMRAAU commenced its undergraduate academic sessions from Lalmonirhat campus on July 03, 2022.
