Bullet-hit body recovered in Jhenidah

JHENIDAH, Apr 21: Police recovered the bullet-hit body of a man from Bakultala area of Mamunshia village in Jhenidah Sadar upazila on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Hafez Abul Kalam Azad, 38, a Rokun of Jamaat-e-Islami of Balabaria village of Elangi union in Kotechandpur upazila under the district.  

Sources said locals spotted the body of the man in the area around 7 am Monday and informed police. Later, law-enforcers recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.

Digital fair begins

Another report says: A 2-day digital fair began in Shailokupa Upazila premises on Sunday.

Shailokupa upazila vice-chairman Shamim Hossain Mollah inaugurated the fair cutting a red tape at 10 am.

Shailokupa UNO Mohammad Ali Prince, OC Moniruzzaman Mollah, upazila Muktijoddha commander Rahmat Ali, UP chairman Mastofa Arif Reza Monnu, Dr. Reza Sekander, journalist Bimal Shaha, press club president M Hasan Musa, among others, were present during the programme.

About twenty stalls have been set up in the fair.
