TANGAIL, Feb 8: Farmers and Agriculture Extension Department (DAE) Tangail are expecting a bumper wheat production in the district this season. Less cultivation cost and better profits are the reasons behind the bumper production.
DAE Tangail sources said, this year wheat cultivation target in the district was 5094 hectares of land with the production target of 15537 metric tonnes of wheat.
Agricultural officer Shariful Islam of DAE, Tangail said if the climatic condition continues like they hoped for a bumper production of wheat in the district.
