Call for inspiring students to prevent corruption

RANGPUR, Oct 27 (BSS): Speakers at a daylong corruption prevention planning meeting have stressed for formulating time-befitting contents to provide training to the students in inspiring them against corruption for preventing the social curse.
They put emphasis on educating the students on values of honesty to create positive impacts on their behavior for their engagement along with local communities and social forces, including common people, in preventing corruption. They were addressing the meeting of the Justice Reform and Corruption Prevention (JRCP) Project, being implemented in Sadar and Kawnia upazilas here by RDRS Bangladesh, at Chandkuthi Government Primary School premises under Sadar upazila on Sunday.
RDRS Bangladesh, an implementing organisation of JRCP in Rangpur, arranged the meeting with the assistance of Mominpur Chandkuthi Community Policing Forum under financial corporation of the German Development Cooperation (GIZ).
Noted literary personality and poet Dilruba Shahadat attended the anti-corruption planning meeting as the chief guest with President of Mominpur Chandkuthi Community Policing Forum Shahinur Islam in the chair.
Assistant teacher of Centarerhat High School Mamtazur Rahman, Joint General Secretary of Mominpur Chandkuthi Community Policing Forum Mrs. Ayesha Begum and its Member Noor Haque addressed as special guests.
Upazila Manager of JRCP Project Tahmina Akhter narrated goals and objectives of the project, its future planning for implementation of the JRCP Project, success already achieved and role of community police forums and committees towards the directions.
Members of the district unit Corruption Prevention Committees, Community Police Forum and Advisory Councils of the 'Satota Sangha' and JRCP Trainers' Group, teachers, students, guardians, local community leaders and elite participated.
