Call to check violence against women

CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Feb 26 (BSS): Speakers at a training programme on Wednesday afternoon stressed on involving all people in checking violence against women.
The training styled 'Community Mobilisation Techniques' organised by Bangladesh National Woman Lawyers Association (BNWLA) with the support of Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) under its Protection of Women Rights in Bangladesh Project at the conference room of Kallyani Mahila Sangstha in the town.
District representative of BNWLA Advocate Yasmin Ara Khushi presided over the function while training officer of BNWLA Bharati Basu conducted the training session as the resource person.
It was addressed, among others, by councilor of Chapainawabganj municipality Sharifa Khatun Baby, headmaster of Chapainawabganj High School Hasinur Rahman and headmaster of Green View School Ruksana Ahmed.
The speakers said, only a group or any individual cannot make any change in the society. They also stressed on involving the young generation in eliminating violence against women from the society.
