Call to prevent cyber crimes

GAIBANDHA, May 24 (BSS): Speakers at a function here today stressed the need for creating awareness among the technology users to check cyber crimes for building a peaceful society.

"With using information and communication technology to keep pace with the modern world, the cyber crime is also increasing day by day creating a sort of hazard and panic to all", they said.

They made the comments while addressing a workshop on cyber crime and cyber security at the conference room of deputy commissioner (DC) here.

Information and Communication Technology Department under the Ministry of Post, Telecommunication, and Information Technology arranged it in cooperation with the district administration.

DC M. Ehsan-e-Elahi addressed the workshop as the chief guest and Chief Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Gazi Rahman and Police Super Mofazzel Hossain were present as the special guests.
