Carpenter, wife found dead in Mymensingh

MYMENSINGH, Mar 15 (UNB): A couple was found dead in their house at Seedstore Bazar area in Bhaluka upazila on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Khokon Mia, 28, a carpenter, son of Jalal Uddin, and his wife Sabina Begum, 20, a garment worker.

Pradip, sub-inspector of Bhaluka Police Station, said getting no response from the house of the couple, neighbours informed police in the morning.

Police rushed to the spot and found the body of Sabina lying on bed while that of Khokon hanging from the ceiling of their room.

The law enforcers recovered the bodies.

Police suspect that Khokon strangulated Sabina to death over some family feud first and then killed himself by hanging at some time in the night.
