Two persons were killed in separate road accidents in Chandpur and Sylhet districts on Monday and Sunday, reports agencies.
In Chandpur, a CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver was killed and two others were injured in a head-on collision between the auto-rickshaw and a private car on the Chandpur-Cumilla highway in front of Aliganj Majumdar Bari area under Haziganj upazila of the district on Monday.
The deceased was identified as CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver Ruhul Amin, 40, son of Sirajul Haque, resident of Dhopalla village under Shahrasti upazila of the district.
In Sylhet, a police officer was killed in a collision between a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and a pickup van in Ambarkhana area of Sylhet city on Sunday night.
The deceased Burhan Uddin, 35, was posted at Ambarkhana police outpost as assistant sub-inspector and hailed from Kandigram village of Gowainghat upazila of Sylhet.
