Chandpur University of Science & Technology to start its journey in February, finally

CHANDPUR, Jan 14: Chandpur University of Science & Technology will start its journey in February. The 1st year classes of three departments of the university will begin at the same time.

Meanwhile, the on-line admission process is over. A total of 90 students have been admitted into 1st year Honours in BBA, CSE and ICT departments. In each department, 30 students have been admitted.

Due to land-related complexities and Coronavirus pandemic , the admission process of the university has been delayed. Now the classes will begin in a rented house/dormitory on Chandpur-Cumilla Highway near Chandpur Police Lines, said the university's VC Dr Md Nasim Akhtar.

He said a 4-member team from the UGC visited the new rented site of the university on December 13. The team members were satisfied to see the academic atmosphere, classrooms, labs and entire area of the campus. They allowed the university authorities to hold classes of 1st year Honours from February.

The academic activities of the university have been stalled due to legal complexities for land dispute.

After long four years, the university will launch its journey through holding classes.

Locals, newly admitted students and their guardians are looking forward to it.
