PANCHAGARH, May 10 (BSS): Green chilli growers are happy for getting good price with their bumper production in the district.
Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) of Panchagarh sources said the green chilli cultivated on 8,421 hectares of land in the district this year with the production target of 11,371 tonnes.
Of the land, 3,000-hectare are in Debiganj upazila, 2,500-hectare in Boda upazila, 1,200-hectare in Tetulia upazila, 900-hectare in Atowary upazila and 821-hectare in sadar upazila.
Deputy Director of DAE of Panchagarh Nazrul Islam told BSS that the farmers were provided with adequate seeds and training to achieve the production target.
