RANGPUR, July 14 (BSS): Adaptation with the adverse climate change impacts through innovation of time-befitting and need-based newer ways, technologies and stress tolerant crop varieties has become a must for attaining food security.
To attain sustainable food security, experts, scientists and researchers have opined for conducting continuous research to find out innovative ways, strategies and need-based policies to keep agro-productions increasing under changing climate.
Executive Director of Rangpur-based research organisation 'North Bengal Institute of Development Studies' Dr Syed Samsuzzaman said adverse impacts of climate change on agriculture, environment, ecology and bio-diversity cannot be overcome overnight.
He put emphasis on conducting continuous research for innovation of newer ways, need-based techniques, strategies and technologies for enhancing cultivation of stress tolerance crops through disseminating and popularising those among the farmers.
