CLP: An effective model

A BSS report says: The Chars Livelihoods Programme (CLP) has become an effective model for alleviating abject poverty and attaining self- reliance by the have-nots group char people in the remote riverine areas.
Under the comprehensive livelihoods development programme, 0.12 million extremely poor char households of ten northwestern riverine districts have achieved self- reliance on the Brahmaputra basin during the past eight years.
