Collaborative efforts for welfare of the disabled underscored

RAJSHAHI, May 2 (BSS): Speakers at a ceremony in Rajshahi emphasised the need for a positive attitude towards the people especially the children with disabilities for grooming the latent talents alongside their rehabilitation in the society.

They also underscored the need for ensuring congenial atmosphere to make an end to repression and discrimination against the physically and mentally challenged to enable them leading a decent life.

The speakers said these while addressing the closing and prize-giving session of a daylong Art and Cultural Competition for Disabled Children on Foundation for Women & Child Assistance (FWCA) campus.

Jatiya Protibandhi Krira Samity organized the competition in joint association with Rotary Club of padma, FWCA, Prottasha and Shapla.

President of Rotary Club of padma Prof Dr Shamsul Alam, local unit President of Jatio Protibondhi Krira samity Mozalmmel Haque and Executive Director of FWCA Wahida Khanom, among others, addressed the opening session.
