College student hacked to death in Khulna

A college student was chopped to death by miscreants in Moheshwarpasha area in Khulna city on Saturday night. The deceased was identified as Rubel Hossain Mollah, 22, a 3rd year student of Government BL College of Khulna, and son of Abu Bakar Siddque of Telegati area in the city. Locals said Rubel came under attack by a group of miscreants in front of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) in the city around 9:45pm. The miscreants indiscriminately chopped him with sharp weapons, leaving him critically injured. Local people rescued Rubel and rushed him to Khulna Medical College Hospital nut he died on the way. The victim's brother Abdul Barek filed a murder case against some unidentified people with Khanjahan Ali Police Station. Police suspected that Rubel was killed by stalkers, who used to tease his sister. Rubel reportedly protested against the stalking by the miscreants, according to UNB.
