College student succumbs to stab injuries

BARISAL, July 25 (BSS): A college student who was stabbed on Thursday, died at Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital this morning.

The deceased Ujjal Kharati (18), son of Uttam Kumar Kharati, was a resident of Kabai-Lakhipasa village under Bakerganj upazila of the district.

Local UP chairman Rafiqul Islam said Saiful Islam, son of Basir Sarder of the same area stabbed Ujjal on Thursday over playing a football match. His injuries were critical.

Ujjal was admitted to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital where he died.

Officer-in-Charge of Bakerganj Thana Anwar Hossain confirmed the incident.
