Construction work of TTC progressing fast in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, June 4 (BSS): Construction work of Technical Training Centre (TTC) at Farazipara area under Kholahati union of Sadar upazila in the district is progressing fast.

Public Works Department (PWD) is implementing the work at the cost of Tk 230 million (23 crore) under the project of 30 TTCs construction across the country under the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment while Government of Bangladesh is providing the fund, office sources said.

The construction works include 4-storied academic building for the learners, dormitory for the instructors and the residence quarters for the principal.

About 50 per cent work of the TTC had already been completed and the rest work would be finished by June 30, 2016, it is expected.

Executive engineer of PWD Debashis Chandra Saha said on completion of the work the TTC would impart training for the unemployed youths including women on technical issues to help them get access to job.
