Couple among 3 hurt in gun attack

MUNSHIGANJ, Feb 1 (UNB): Three people, including a couple, sustained bullet wounds in a gun attack by miscreants at Dighirpar village in Tongibari upazila on Friday night.

The injured were identified as Iqbal Hossain, 35, and his wife Rehana Begum, 23, residents of the village, and Habibur Rahman, 25, a rickshaw puller.

Shahidul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said a gang of miscreants launched an attack on the couple Iqbal and Rehana at night and opened fire on them while they were returning home from a wedding ceremony at Dewankandi village in Sadar upazila by a rickshaw.
