Ctg road accidents kill five

Three persons were killed in separate road accidents in Chattogram district on Saturday and Friday night, reports UNB.

On Saturday, three motorcyclists were killed and one was injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Mirsarai upazila in Chattogram district.

The accident took place at Kamaldah Bazar in the upazila when an unidentified vehicle hit the motorbike, said the witnesses.

The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.

On Friday night, a woman and her daughter were killed and her husband was injured as a truck hit the motorbike carrying them on Toll Road in Halishahar area of Chattogram district.

The deceased Suraiya Nasrin, 28, and her daughter Aiyra, 3, were residents of Hillview Residential Area of Chattogram district. Jillur Rahman, 36, Suraiya's husband is injured.

Mohammad Parvez, sub-inspector of Halishahar police station, confirmed the development, saying that the accident happened around 11:15 pm when the speeding truck knocked down the bike in the Halishahar area, leaving the two dead on the spot and Jillur critically injured.
