Day-long bicycle rally held on RU campus

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Feb 26: The Department of Accounting and Information System of Rajshahi University (RU) yesterday organised a day-long bicycle rally on the campus entitled "Cycling for Healthy and Beauteous Life."

The rally was brought out from the department and paraded through the main streets of the campus. Later the rally set out on a journey to the historic Bagha Mosque of Rajshahi.

More than 30 teachers and students of the department took part in the rally led by the lecturer Md. Imran Hossain.

The rally ended after arriving on RU campus after visiting the Sharda Police Academy and the Rajshahi Cadet College.

Commenting about the rally Mr. Imran Hossain said cycling can encourage the general people to save the country from environmental pollution and it also gives opportunity to directly enjoy the beauty of the country.
