DDRR constructs 46 bridges, culverts in Mymensingh

MYMENSINGH, Apr 20 (BSS): Department of District Relief and Rehabilitation (DDRR) has been constructing 46 small bridges and culverts for developing rural communication networks in the district.

The DDRR is implementing the project at a cost of Taka 97.7 million under the current fiscal year.

Official sources said the bridges and culverts are being built in all 12 upazilas of the district under the supervision of the DDRR.

Three bridges or culverts are being constructed in Haluaghat upazila, 2 in Fulpur upazila, 3 in Gouripur upazila, 3 in Sadar upazila, 3 in Muktagacha upazila, 5 in Phulbaria upazila, 8 in Trishal upazila, 4 in Ishwargonj upazila, 3 in Nandail upazila, 7 in Gafargron upazila, 3 in Bhaluka upazila and 2 in Dobaura upazila.

DDRR official Habibullah told BSS that on an average 60 percent works of the project have already been completed so far and remaining works will be completed by next June.
