Deceased's younger brother put on 5-day remand

SATKHIRA, Oct 18 (UNB): A Satkhira court on Sunday placed Raihanul, the younger brother of Shahinur Rahman who was killed with his wife and two children in Khalsi village of Kolaroaupazila, on a five-day remand.
Satkhira judicial magistrate court-2 Senior Judicial Magistrate YeasminNahar passed the order today after hearing a 10-day remand petition filed by Tariqul Islam, inspector of Criminal Investigation Department (CID), also investigation officer of the case.
A team of CID arrested Raihanul on Friday and he was shown arrested in the murder case.
MoynaKhatun, mother-in-law of Shahinur Rahman, filed the case withKolaroa Police Station on Thursday night without mentioning any name.
The case was handed over to CID on Friday morning.
Police recovered the bodies of four people early Thursday.
Although four of the five members of the family were killed, the killers left a four-month-old baby, Maria Sultana, next to her mother's body.
Satkhira Deputy Commissioner SM Mostafa Kamal has taken responsibility of the minor girl.
