Declaration of Jessore as div demanded

JESSORE, Apr 26: Citizens of greater Jessore district (Jessore, Jhenidah, Magura and Narail) on Saturday formed a human chain in front of Jessore Press Club to press the demand for declaration of the oldest district of undivided Bangla, the third municipality of the Indian sub continent and the first district of the war of liberation as a division.

People of all walks of life including teachers, politicians, lawyers, journalists and cultural activists took part the chain with banners and festoons.

Jessore Division Movement Committee arranged the programme Saturday morning.
