Dinajpur, Gazipur road accidents claim two lives

DINAJPUR, Jan 11 (BSS): A motorcyclist was killed as a truck hit his motorcycle in Sadar upazila on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Mizanur Rahman Patwari, 40, was a resident in Kajol village under Birganj upazila.

Police said the accident took place at around 11 am in Basherhat area on Dinajpur-Dashmile Road. Mizanur was admitted at M. Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital where the duty doctor declared him dead.

Meanwhile, in Gazipur, one youth was killed as a truck entered his shop in Hotapara area of Sadar upazila here early this morning.

The deceased was identified as Biplob Miah, 25, son of Sahidul Mandol, a resident of Kalampur village under Shariakandi upazila in Bogra district.

Police said the accident occurred when the truck entered into the shop in the area as its driver lost control over the vehicle, leaving its worker Biplob dead on the spot.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahamed Medical College Hospital morgue.
