A new executive committee of the Bangladesh Paediatric Pulmonary Forum (BPPF) has been formed with Prof Dr Md Atiar Rahman of the Bangladesh Medical University and Dr SM Khaled of the National Institute of Diseases of the Chest and Hospital as its president and general secretary (GS) respectively, says a press release.
The new executives were elected at a general meeting of the organisation at a hotel in the capital on Saturday.
Dr Tania Islam of Institute of Child and Mother Health was elected treasurer while Brigadier General (retd) Mahbuba of Combined Military Hospital (CMH) and Prof Lufan Nesa of Dhaka Medical Hospital were elected vice-presidents.
Other executive committee members are Dr Shima Bhadra of Dhaka Medical College (joint secretary); Dr Johura Zamila of Bangladesh Shishu Hospital and Institute; Dr Sudipta Roy of Addin Women's Medical College Hospital; Dr Jubayir Chisti of icddr,b; DR Akhlaq of Sylhet Medical College; Lt Col Dr Tahmida of CMH, Chattogram; Dr Sarabon Tahura of Bangladesh Shishu Hospital & Institute; Dr Tasnim of Birdem and Dr Shakib Rana of Dr. MR Khan Shishu Hospital & Institute of Child Health.
