RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, May 29: Prof. Dr. Mohammed Rafiqul Islam Beg, a teacher of Mechanical Engineering department of the Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) has been appointed new Vice Chancellor of the university Wednesday, said a press release from RUET PRO office.
A fax message said that President of the government and also chancellor of RUET Abdul Hamid appointed Prof. Beg as the VC for four years.
Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Mohammed Mortuza Ali has handed over the VC's charge to the VC today.
Prof. Beg joined as a lecturer at Mechanical Engineering department of RUET in 1984.
