Drug addict convicted

Another message says: A mobile court on Monday convicted a drug addict to six months' imprisonment after arresting him when he was taking ganja near Chuadanga rail station.

The convicted person was identified as Masum Ali 30, son of Shaheb Ali of Doshomi village under Damurhuda upazila of the district.

Mobile court sources said the convicted person was caught from the spot and convicted him after trial. Some doses of ganja were also recovered from his possession. Ashim Kumar Sarkar, Executive Magistrate Chuadanga, conducted the mobile court and gave the punishment.
