Eid-ul-Azha celebrated in districts

Our Correspondent GOPALGANJ, Oct 19: Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of the Muslims community was celebrated in a befitting manner in Gopalganj Wednesday. The main Eid congregation was held at local poura Eidgah maidan of Gopalganj city. Mufti Maulana Mahammad Hafizur Rahman, Imam of Court Jame Mosque of the city conducted the prayer at 8-30 am. The second Eid congregation was held at Sk Alia Madrasha Mosque of the city at 9 am conducted by Hafaz Jalal Uddin Ahmed, Principal of the Madrasha and the third congregation was held at local police line maidan, conducted by Hafez Abdur Rashid, Imam of police line mosque. Our correspondent in Khulna reports: The members of the Muslim community celebrated Eid-ul-Azha in Khulna, its adjoining areas and elsewhere of the country with due solemnity and religious fervour. Eid prayers were held in various places of the city. The main Eid congregation was held at the Khulna Circuit House Maidan. Khulna City Corporation Panel Mayor Anisur Rahman Biswas, Nurul Islam Dadu, leaders from various political parties and high government officials offered Eid prayers at the congregation of Khulna Circuit House Maidan. In each congregation, people sought mercy of the Almighty Allah and prayed for the eternal peace and prosperity of nation and the Muslim Ummah throughout the world. People exchanged Eid greetings with each others there. The Eid congregation was led by Moulana Abu Saleh, pesh imam of Khuln town Jam-e mosque. Special prayer was offered for continued peaces, progress and prosperity of the nation and entire Muslim ummah.
