Elaborate programme chalked out for Victory Day in Faridpur

FARIDPUR, Nov 19 (BSS): An elaborate programme has been chalked out in connection with the observance of the ensuing victory day across the district on December 16.

In a meeting held here today in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner(DC) attended by the heads of various government, semi-government, autonomous bodies, freedom fighters and cross section of people the day long programme was drawn up to celebrate the great event with jubilation. The meeting was chaired by DC Sardar Sharafat Ali.

The programme of the day will begin with 31 gun-salute to be held at local police line. It will be followed by hoisting of national flag atop all public and private buildings.

Floral wreaths will be placed at the martyred memorial altar located at Goalchamat area of the town followed by a victory procession which will parade the main through fares and will disperse at the stadium.
