RANGPUR, Aug 27 (BSS): Eleven Bangladeshi juveniles were repatriated through Hili Immigration Check Post (ICP) in Dinajpur on Tuesday afternoon after completion of their jail term at a Juvenile Home in India for illegal intrusion.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hili ICP at Hili border under Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur in Bangladesh Mohammad Khwajamuddin received the youths from the OC of Indian Hili ICP Poresh Mandal, official sources said.
Bangladesh Women Lawyers' Association initiated the process and completed legal procedures with concerned Indian authorities to bring back the juveniles from 'Shovayan Observation Home' at Balurghat town in West Dinajpur district of India.
The repatriated youths are Bikash Murdy, 12 of Godagari in Rajshahi, Hasibul Hassan Parvez, 18, of Natore, Abu Kawser, 15, of Brahmanbaria, Akash, 13, of Nababganj in Dhaka, Hamidul, 13, and Rabiul, 11, of Dinajpur, Junayed, 13, Chittagong, Rubel,16, of Sunamganj, Sohan, 12, of Dhaka, Suman Hassan, 17, of Kurigram and Sohel Sheikh, 17, of Bogra.
Earlier, the repatriated Bangladeshi youths, illegally entered into Indian territories through different neighboring border areas in the country, were detained by the Border Security Force of India and handed over to Indian police over the years.
