Farmer electrocuted in Nilphamari

NILPHAMARI, June 13 (BSS): A farmer died after being electrocuted while attempting to connect electricity to an irrigation pump in Dimla upazila of the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Md. Dulal Hossain, 65, son of late Kapor Uddin of Uttar Titpara village in the upazila.

Police said that around 10 am, Dulal Hossain went near his house to switch on an electric irrigation pump. He was severely injured after being electrocuted during the process.

Family members rescued him and took him to Dimla Upazila Health Complex, where the attending doctors declared him dead.
