Farmer killed in Pabna

PABNA, May 12 (BSS): A farmer was chopped to death allegedly by his rivals at Kusiara village under Bera upazila of the district last night.

The victim was identified as Fariduzzaman Anis, 35, son of Bahadur Pramanik.

Sub Inspector (SI) of Bera thana Subrata Kumar said the miscreants chopped Anis to death using sharp weapon over previous enmity at night and dumped the body in a beel near the village.

Being informed, police recovered the body this morning and sent it to Pabna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) morgue.

A case was filed with the thana in this connection.
