CHATTOGRAM, Mar 31 (BSS): A man and his three-year-old daughterwere killed in a road accident at Kodalla village of Shantirhat area under Rangunia upazila of the district on Sunday.
The victims were identified as Abdur Aziz, 46, son of Neser Ahmed and Afifa, 03, daughter of Abdur Aziz of Kodalla village.
Alauddin Talukder, assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) Police Outpost told the news agency that the accident occurred when a Jeep knocked a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area around 10.30 am,leaving the auto-rickshaw passengers injured.
Locals brought the wounded to CMCH but the attending doctors declared Aziz and Afifa's father dead after admission.
Victim's wife Tahera Begum, 35, and the auto-rickshaw driver Kanchon Das also received serious injuries in the accident and now they are undergoing treatment at the CMCH.
A case was filed with the concerned police station in this connection.
