Father killed by son in Bagerhat

BAGERHAT, Jun 19 (BSS): A father was killed by his son at South Sutalri village under Morrelganj upazila of the district this morning.

The victim was identified as Abdus Salam Mir, 55, of the same area.

Officer-in-charge of Morrelganj thana M Aslam Khan said Salam locked into an altercation with his son Rabiul, 25, over a family matter. At one stage, Rabiul chopped his father indiscriminately and fled away from the scene.

After the incident, critically injured Salam died on the way to hospital.

A case was filed with the concerned thana in this connection.
