NILPHAMARI, Nov 3: To conduct feasibility study to establish a BSCIC state, a team of three members comprising the Ministry of Industry and BSCIC presently are in Nilphamari.
The team is visiting the proposed sites of the estate to be established adjacent to Nilphamari Municipality. The probable sites are Polashbari, Darwani and Badiar intersection.
This is a long-standing demand of the people of Nilphamari to establish the same here to enable the local entrepreneurs to set up industries for fostering the economy of the district which will also create employment opportunities for local youths.
While contacted DC Nilpahamri Zakir Hossain said one of the proposed site is at Polashbari and there remains 31 acres of khas land. Therefore if the estate is established there it would not need to acquire land any more.
While contacted president of Nilphamari Chamber Of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) SM Shofiqul Islam said when established the estate would go a long way in mitigating the demand of the local entrepreneurs and people.
