Fish farm owner killed

UNB report says: Police on Tuesday recovered the throat-slit body of a fish farm owner from a pond at Uttar Bedkashi in Koira upazila of the district.

The deceased was identified as Mizanur Islam Litu, 42, son of Mozam Sheikh of the village.

Police said Litu went missing after he had left his house following a mobile phone call around 9pm on Monday.

Later, on Tuesday morning, Litu's wife Halima Khatun spotted his throat-slit body floating on the pond adjacent to their house.

On information, police went to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Khulna Medical College Hospital for autopsy. They also recovered a bloodstained kitchen knife from the spot.
