Focus on basic training for promoting entrepreneurs

RAJSHAHI, Feb 28 (BSS): Speakers at a discussion resolved that there was no way but to entrepreneurship promotion training for infusing dynamism into the industrialization process besides generating genuine entrepreneurs.
Significance of such type of training is inevitable for building digital Bangladesh.
More impetus is needed to development of entrepreneurship particularly women through small and medium enterprises (SME) financing to accelerate the economy both in rural and urban areas.
They were addressing the closing session of a three-day entrepreneurs improvement training course. Industrial Support Centre (ISC) of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) organised the training at its training Centre in Rajshahi today.
In the current batch, 51 young entrepreneurs for SMEs took part in the training.
BSCIC Regional Director Engineer Ajharul Islam and Regional Manager Tamanna Rahman addressed the session as chief and special guests respectively with Deputy General Manager Sazedur Rahman in the chair.
Estate Officer Anwarul Islam, Assistant Engineer Wali Uddin Khan and Course Coordinator Nazrul Islam also spoke.
The speakers said the BSCIC has been working relentlessly for creating self-employment through training.
After getting training, the young entrepreneurs will contribute a lot towards making the country self-reliant coupled with eradicating the unemployment problems through establishing industries.
BSCIC will impart training to some 8,000 entrepreneurs in 64 districts including 200 in Rajshahi in the current fiscal year.
