Folk fair begins in Bandarban Oct 18

BANDARBAN, Oct 15 (BSS): A three-day 'Folk fair, a traditional fair of the tribal people, will begin on October 18 at Rajarmath in the district town.

Ministry of Tourism and CHT district council will jointly organize the traditional fair.

Hundreds of people from adjoining district of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) are taking preparation to attend the fair.

Indigenous people from all CHT districts and other plain areas are expected to participate in the fair. They will perform their own cultural activities in the fair and also display their handicrafts, said CHT district council chairman Kasoi Hla.

A number of colorful stalls will be set up in the fair.
