Foundation of diabetes hospital laid in Nilphamari

NILPAHAMARI, Nov 2: After a long delay the foundation of the proposed hospital was laid in Nilphamari. Minister of Cultural Affairs Asaduzzaman Noor laid the foundation of the hospital on Saturday last.

To be established on 30 decimal of land which was donated by the minister himself at Polashbari, 4 kilometres north of Nilphamari Municipality, the hospital would meet the crying need of the people of the district. To be built on an approximate amount of TYK 160 million, the hospital would be an extension of the existing one at Circuit House road.

The opening ceremony of the hospital was attended by Chairman of Diabetes Samity Bangladesh AK Azad DC Nilphamari Zakir Hossain, Mayor Nilphamari municipality Dewan Kamal Ahmed, Zila Parishad Administrator Momtajul Hoque and others.
