Four bodies recovered in districts

BARISAL, May 21 (BSS): Police recovered the body of a man from a field at Meghia village under Babuganj upazila here last night.

The deceased was identified as Harun Mollah, 45, son of Kadam Mollah of the village.

Being informed, police rushed to the spot at 1:30 am, recovered the body and sent it to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital morgue, police said.

The body bore several injury marks, said police.

Another report from Bogra says: Police recovered body of a man from a field of Mandal Dharan village in sadar upazila of the district early today. Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Being informed, police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Bogra Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, said officer in charge of sadar thana Abul Bashar.

A UNB report says: The bodies of two people, including that of a housewife, were recovered from Shariatpur and Sirajganj districts on Wednesday.

In Shariatpur, police recovered the hanging body of an elderly man at Laukhola village in Jajira upazila in the morning.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Khalek, 65, a resident of the same village.

Officer-in-charge of Jajira Police Station Nazrul Islam said locals spotted the body of Khalek hanging with a tree in the area and informed police.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Shariatpur Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Police suspected that miscreants might have killed Khalek and then hanged his body with a tree, the OC added.

In Sirajganj, police recovered the body of a housewife at Betua village in Salanga upazila in the morning. The deceased was identified as Halima Khatun, 25, wife of Saiful Islam, a resident of Sharif Salanga village.

Police said Halima used to live in her brother's house as she had filed a case against her husband for demanding dowry.
