RAJSHAHI, Feb 24: The fifth Model United Nations Conference-2019 by the United Nations Youth and Students Association of Bangladesh (UNYSAB) will be held at Rajshahi University (RU) on February 28, said a press release.
UNYSAB and RU Model United Nations (RUMUNA) will organise the four-day event at the Shahid Sukhoranjan Samadder Teachers Students Cultural Centre (TSCC).
Some 350 students from 58 educational institutions from three countries - Bangladesh, India and Thailand - are expected to attend the conference.
About 25 resource persons will participate in the conference.
There will be eight committees in the event.
These are: UN Refuge Council, UN Human Rights Council, International Monetary Fund, North Atlantic Treaty Alliance, Bangladesh Affairs Specialised Committee, International Mass-Media, UN Drugs and Crime Affairs Secretariat and International Oceans Organisation.
Committee members will present their views on their respective aspect.
Crime against children, crypto-currency, UN Bangla and prevention of the ocean pollution will also be discussed in the conference.
Prof Shah Azam Shantonu, advisor of RUMUNA said participants are expected to gain incredible experience of associating with people from different educational institutions of the world.
Students will also share their knowledge on developing communication, diplomatic skills and negotiation during the event.
