FARIDPUR, Sept 21 (BSS): The four day income tax fair organized by National Board of Revenue (NBR) as country wide programme to inspire people to pay income tax ended here yesterday at a local community center amid very encouraging response from the taxpaying people.
The closing ceremony held at the fair venue was presided over by Extra-Assistant Commissioner of Faridpur Income Tax department Md. Sajjad Ali Chowdhury.
Md. Sajjad Ali Chowdhury informed that in the four day fair 655 income tax returns were deposited while a sum of over Taka 17 lakh 85 thousand were collected as income tax for the year 2014- 2015.
