Girl killed by paramour in Narayanganj

NARAYANGANJ, Feb 12 (UNB): A young girl was killed by slitting throat allegedly by her boyfriend in a residential hotel in Rail Gate area of the city on Tuesday.

Police arrested the accused boyfriend, Saidur Rahman, 26, in possession of a sharp weapon. Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Shahjalal, inspector of Sadar Model Police Station, said that Saidur along with the girl hired a room at the hotel, Rupayan, in the area in the evening.

Later, hotel employees caught Saidur when he tried to escape from the hotel at about 9:00pm. Meanwhile, hotel employees also recovered throat-slit body of the girl from the hotel room.
