Faridpur, Aug 28 (UNB): A college girl committed suicide for failing in Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations in Government College Road area of Boalmari upazila in Faridpur on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Sonia Rahman Bhabna, 18, student of Kazi Sirajul Islam Girls College and daughter of Tabibur Rahmana Mintu of the area.
Dr Farid Hossain Miah, upazila health and family planning officer, said, Bhabna committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan with scarf after 14 days of her result. The HSC results were published on August 13.
