Girl stabbed to death in Noakhali

NOAKHALI, Jan 10 (BSS): A teenage girl was stabbed to death by a miscreant at Naldia village of Nabipur union under Senbag upazila in the district this morning.

The victim was identified as Archana Rani Das, 19, daughter of Subash Chandra Das of the same village.

Police said Ripon Chandra Das, son of Tapan Chandra Das of same village, entered the house of the victim and proposed her to marry him. After refusing his proposal Ripon became angry and stabbed Rani to death, the OC added. Ripon also tried to commit suicide after the incident.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
