GOPALGANJ, July 2: Md. Rejaul Haque Sikder (Raju), Mayor of Gopalganj Paurashava announced Tk 386.06 million (Tk 38,60,62,535) budget for fiscal year 2015-16 at Paurashava conference room in Gopalganj today (Thursday).
Of the new budget Tk 114.50 million (Tk 11,45,07,882) has been earmarked as revenue income and Tk 274.31 million (Tk 27,43,11,732) on development sector.
Tk 112.14 million (Tk 11,21,45,000) has been estimated as revenue expenditure and Tk 273.91 million (Tk 27,39,17,535) as development expenditure.
Fresh water supply, development of electricity, development on education and culture, Shishu Park and so on are included in the new budget.
Among others, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Gopalganj, paura councilors, journalists, NGO's representatives and local elites were present on the occasion.
