Govt primary school runs in derelict building

BOGRA, Mar 07: Activities of the Chhoto Kanchi Government Primary School are being hampered due to the bad shape of the school building.
Situated in Nandigram upazila, the school was established in 2010 with the assistance of local people. Later, it was enlisted as a government institute in 2013. From then, numbers of students have been increasing.
There are only three classrooms at the school. A total of four teachers are running the school.
The school chairman Uttam Kumar Roy said, "We are afraid of the upcoming summer and rainy seasons." He urged the authority concerned to build a school building.
Class two student Ranjana Ray Sarker said toilet facility of the school is very poor.
Acting headmaster Mausumi Sarker said, "We have 102 students now. We need a concrete building to run the school activities smoothly."
