Granula potato being exported from Nilphamari

NILPHAMARI, Apr 10: Exporters of potato in Nilphamari district are purchasing potato from their selected agents and wholesalers. Only granula variety potato are being purchased by them.

When contacted one agent of the exporters Dulal Islam of Nilphamari Sakamacha Bazar said they are purchasing big sized granula variety potato at a price of Tk 6 per kg from the growers and retail traders across the district. On the other hand as export of potato has started, the price of the product shot up substantially by Tk 3 to 5 per kg in the local markets which delighted the growers.
