Grocer shot dead in Jessore

JESSORE, Jun 16 (BSS): A grocer was shot dead by some unidentified miscreants in Sheikhati area near Jessore Education Board last night.

The deceased was identified as Maruf Hossain, 28, son of Ayub Hossain of Sheikhati area of the town.

Police said Maruf was working at his shop at around 10:15 pm, three to four terrorists came and stormed the shop and shot him.

Immediately after the incident, the miscreants fled the scene by blasting bombs.

Maruf was taken to Jessore Hospital in critical condition where on duty doctor declared him dead.

A case was recorded with Jessore Kotwali Model Thana in this connection.
