In Habiganj, three people died and four others were injured in a head-on collision between an easybike (a battery-run human hauler) and a covered van in Chunarughat upazila of Habiganj on Thursday.
The incident happened in the Chanbhanga area of the upazila around 12:00 pm on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Tanim Mia, 17, of Durgapur village, Tamanna Akhter, 14, of the upazila, and Sufia Khatun, 45, of the Umednagar area of Habiganj municipality.
In Gaibandha, a policeman died after his motorcycle collided with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the Board Bazar area on the Police Lines Road in Gaibandha on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Suman Mia of Pirgacha upazila of Rangpur. He was posted at the Gaibandha Sadar Police Station as a driver.
