Habiganj hill slide kills 2

HABIGANJ, Feb 9 (UNB): Two people were killed in a hill slide while cutting earth at Gulgaon village in Bahubal upazila Monday.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Goni, 50, son of late Sundar Ali, and Jewel Ahmed, 15, son of Abdus Shahid of the village.

Assistant police super Masudur Rahman Monir said the duo has been collecting earth from the hill for the last few days.

As they were cutting earth, a big chunk of earth fell on them in the morning, leaving them dead on the spot.

On information, police rushed in. They with the help of locals recovered the bodies and sent those to hospital morgue for autopsy.
